Silent Sanctuary

The Order of the Unseeing Eye keeps it's headquarters well hidden, because it's a training ground for their priests. This training process requires tranquility and a great deal of quiet.

According to legend, it can be reached by walking from any island in the Archipelago, so many think of it as a fantastic or magical place.

The only individuals allowed to enter the sanctuary are the priests of the Order and those in training to become priests, with very few exceptions (Teka of Lilly and the Outsiders was one such exception).

The Sanctuary itself is dead silent and no one is allowed to speak louder than a whisper. This is to avoid disrupting the training of new priests.

Notes for the GM

The Sanctuary is located in the mountains of Grimm's Island and is normally reached by contacting the Druids, who escort members of the Order to the Sanctuary via their Standing Stones. From there, the journey into the mountains takes several days. Escorting members of the Order is a job that's normally given to young, outgoing Druids.

The Druids have allowed the Order to keep their Sanctuary because they were on the island first and they're good neighbors. Those in the Sanctuary seek tranquility and quiet, above all. Having a healthy respect for nature doesn't hurt when attempting to reach those goals.

Later stages of training in the Order involve training in the periphery of the jungle.
