Infused

The Infused are effectively half-elementals. Any infused template can be combined with another racial template.

Sub-Races

The Infused sub-races are described in detail in GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 3, except for the following new sub-races:

Ice

The Ice Infused are quite well adapted to colder climates, being quite resistant to low temperatures and cold attacks. They also have the ability to freeze objects together by touch.

Magma

The Magma Infused can easily approach an active volcano with few worries. Between their natural resistance to volcanic gasses, heat, lava and earthquakes, as well as their ability to walk on lava, they find such environments almost hospitable.

Ooze

Superficially resembling the Water Infused, the Ooze Infused are constantly covered in filthy water. They're naturally immune to poison and disease. However, they smell awful, like a swamp.

Salt

The Salt Infused have nearly zero water in their bodies and what little they require is absorbed from the air. They're dry and scratchy to the touch and almost never blink. This makes them resistant to a variety of hazards, especially dehydration and even slows their aging quite a bit, but has the drawback of making them fairly flammable and sterile.

Shadow

Their heritage gives the shadow-infused the abilities to see in any level of darkness, create small globes of darkness (which they have no trouble seeing in) and actually turn into a shadow.

They have a few drawbacks, however. They have no shadow, since they actually are their own shadow. They also have no natural body heat. Both of these mark them as different and can lead to reaction penalties if noticed. Finally, they have trouble seeing in strong light levels.

They have black irises, which makes them look like their pupils are dilated all the time.

Smoke

The Smoke Infused do not need to breathe and are able to produce a thick cloud of smoke at will. They can also see through any smoke as though it weren't there. However, they always smell like a forest fire. Their natural odor allows them to frighten animals if they so desire.

Vacuum

The Vacuum Infused were born to live in an airless void without gravity; they don't require air and can live comfortably in the void of space or the Plane of Vacuum. Their skin is covered in a thick membrane that protects them from the effects of a vacuum. They're slightly physically weak and also completely hairless.
