Notes

Gerach is from an underground colony of Advanced Goblins. No one knows what island he's from and he isn't willing to say, due to his paranoia.

He believes in the axiom, "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." He has small bags of ashes in his quarters: his past enemies. None of them survived crossing him.

He's a rare type of wizard known as a Defiler. He casts all of his magic by draining life from everything around him; plants, animals, or even people. He then uses this drained life energy to create magical effects. For this reason, he makes regular trips into the wilderness to drain trees and brush for energy. He is careful (due to paranoia) to walk a fair distance from any current lair to do this.

Gerach may often be found in his laboratory, performing sadistic magical experiments on living subjects. He is studying the nature of life itself. His experiments usually kill his subjects, but not always. Few are aware of it, but his subjects are actually clones of a peasant that he murdered years ago. Because of the unique nature of the Clone spell and the fact that he's been cloning the clones for years, they remember most of the experiments he's performed on them. They're also quite insane and desire nothing more than to die, permanently.

He is quite familiar with the internal politics of the Enchanter's Syndicate, because he used to be one of their enforcers. He didn't work for them for very long, but they paid him in magic items and spells. He left their employ because the conspiracy was starting to make him more paranoid. He has no hard feelings towards them and they don't mind him either, but he'd like to keep his distance from them, all the same.

In combat, Gerach will fight until it seems that his side is going to lose, then he'll run away. He fights using his spells. If forced into close combat, he'll drain life energy from his enemies and then send it back at them as devastating spells.

One of his favorive spells is Dark Divide. He loves watching powerful fighters defeated by their own double.
