Creates a clone of any organic being using a DNA sample of the original. The clone has the statistics and knowledge the original did at the time the sample was taken.
This spell takes relatively little time to cast, but the clone requires time to grow. 12 days, 3 hours and 16 1/4 minutes are required from the start of the casting process for the clone to grow to the same age the original was. It is not alive until this time and if damaged, the spell will fail.
This is one of the darker necromantic spells, but it does have it's acceptable uses. For example, if the subject was killed through massive damage, it may not be possible to raise them from the dead via traditional means. For this reason alone, many healer-mages reluctantly keep a copy of this in their spell book. However, this spell is abused more often than not.
If a living PC is cloned without the player paying points for being in two places at once, the duplicate will eventually become quite insane. The GM should secretly roll a fright check for the duplicate every day that both are alive, with a cumulative -1 penalty to the roll. The results will appear 4d hours into the day or during the first stressful event of the day, whichever comes first. Any result that lasts more than one day delays further checks.
