Illusion
To make an image that can do harm, buy an appropriate innate attack with a +30% enhancement, Comes From Illusion and attach a Link (p. B106) to both. Alternatively, linked Telekinesis may be used for punching and/or wielding weapons.
Damage Resistance can be bought with Link (p. B106) to make your images solid, but without the Extended (Touch) enhancement, they will have no texture, taste or sense of weight. These types of images will feel completely smooth and are immovable for anyone but their creator.
Linked DR only prevents fast strikes and quick touches from penetrating the illusion. If you press against them at a slower rate, you can pass through, unless the DR is enhanced with Force Field.
Linked Telekinesis can also be used to simulate weight (maximum weight is the extra-heavy lift for a given ST). It can also be used to create constructs that can be sat/walked upon. Treat this as the Telekinesis carrying anything placed on the illusion.
Special Enhancements
Extended (Time): This allows you to fool around with your subject's perception of the passage of time, making them feel like time is passing faster or slower than it actually is. This could be used to make a boring job pass more smoothly, or make it into the most boring task in the universe. Look up the level of this Enhancement on the Size column of the Speed/Range Table (p. B550). The subject's sense of time can be multiplied or divided by the associated number in the Linear Measurement Column. This has no real effect in combat, but if combined with the Mental Enhancement, you could feed a false battle into the subject's head over the course of a split second. +45%/level.
Mobile: This may be added along with Persistent to allow an illusion to move around. +40%/level.
Persistent: After you create an image, it is attached to the location or object it was created in or on. This allows you to walk away without the illusion falling apart. However, without Independence or Initiative, it still requires you to concentrate on it. +40%.
Special Limitations
Cybernetic Only: Your illusions only work on those with the Digital Mind trait. This should be combined with Telecommunication. -50%.
Disruptible: Attacking an image successfully causes it to disappear. Linked DR gives the image some ability to resist this. -10%.
Phantasm: Your images are mental projections, but it might be more accurate to say that the illusions themselves are mentally projecting themselves into the senses of others. Anything immune to psychic manipulation, such as a machine, is unaffected. They may not be photographed in any manner. These illusions cannot be passively resisted like usual, but if the victim begins to suspect he's sensing an illusion and succeeds at a contest of Will with their maker, they disregard them completely and never sense them again. This makes any ability linked to Illusion useless on targets that have disbelieved. -20%.
Telecommunication: You must be in contact with your victim(s) via the Telecommunication advantage. -20%.
