Prerequisites: Magery.
This unusual variation of Gadgeteer allows the application of the Gadgeteering rules (see p. B475) to designing new Spells instead of technological gadgets.
For the slow gadgeteer, waive the penalty for a questionable/improvised laboratory.
For the quick version, no laboratory is required.
Rules related to Tech Level don't usually apply.
Once a spell is designed, if you're a user of Standard Magery, it will still have to be prepared before you can cast it, unless you also have the Gizmo (Spell) Advantage.
Other than these few caveats, use the Gadgeteering rules as written.
