As a young woman, Gwen started her own small bank on the Green Isle. She made a fair bit of money and then sold the business to a friend, spending everything she had to become a priestess in her religion. Along this path, she gained magical talent and a unique ability to funnel mana into herself at high speed from her surroundings.
She believes strongly in her religion (Cult of Profit). She's now working as an adventurer, seeing this as the quickest way to spread the message of profit. Strangely enough, she leaves a trail of greater profitability where ever she goes, dispensing sound financial advice for a small fee ($5-$10). On the other hand, she does still seek personal profit via dungeon delving and doing missions for the League of Adventurers.
Gwen recently had an unfortunate accident with a critical failure combined with a wild surge while casting Explosive Fireball. It went off on her left ear instead of her target. This completely blew her ear off, damaged her hearing, permanently curled her hair and turned it electric blue. She hasn't figured out why it changed her hair color and every attempt she's made to dye it back to black (including magic) has failed. She cannot even grow her ear back with magic; she's tried.
She has a habit of making out with random guys she meets just about everywhere she goes. Her exotic hair color seems to be getting her extra attention (both good and bad) in this respect.
In combat, Gwen will generally use spells first, but if pressed will use her staff, which she is no slouch with.
Her tactics against single opponents vary by gender, but always begin with a defensive grip. Her favored attack against males is her Armed Grapple/Groin Knee Strike attack. Against women or when the afore-mentioned isn't possible, she uses Pressure-Point Strike against her opponent's weapon arm. After the initial attack, she often follows up with a Sweep or more Pressure Point Strikes. She normally seeks to disable her opponents quickly, so she can cast spells to support her comrades.
Against multiple opponents, she'll hold her staff with a regular grip and attack with a Grand Disarm. If this doesn't scare her opponents off, she'll follow up with Whirlwind Attack. If they're unarmed, she uses Whirlwind Attack first.
Gwen is currently actively training her staff skills, working on a new Combination move combining her Armed Grapple and a Knee Strike to the head. This would be used against female opponents.
After that she's planning to go back to improving her magical abilities.
