Tim the Torture Master is a card-carrying mercenary. He always goes to the highest bidder, regardless of who they are.
He will consider almost any offer of payment, since he's a member of the Cult of Profit. If he decides to take a higher bid while still on the job, he'll inform his current employer and give them a chance to make a counter-offer. If the new offer came from a prisoner, he'll need proof that the prisoner can pay before he'll consider it.
Torture is what he's best known for, but he has other skills. He has the classic skills of a story-telling bard, giving him a good chance of changing the opinions of others. He's also a surgeon. He has many social skills that might be useful to an employer.
His highest skill is Public Speaking, which he is a true master of.
Time-wise, he keeps his work and his social life completely separate. He has an odd habit of chatting with his prisoners on his off hours. He is very social and friendly when he isn't interrogating someone, taking the time to learn about their life, help them with their problems if he can, etc. During these times, his prisoners often find themselves liking him, despite the things he does to them during the day.
Tim is married to "The Mime" and they have three children. He keeps his family close, usually just down the hall from his "office" as he calls it. His daughter has been known to follow him into the "office" during his off hours. At these times, he'll proudly introduce her, give her a nice hug and send her back to their quarters. "Good" adventurers should feel terrible if they harm his family in any way.
