Scorpion action figures are most commonly used to defend either a location (in massive numbers) or a child (by staying hidden among toys until needed). While they may superficially resemble toys, they're designed more for defense.
When attacking, they'll seek to sneak up quietly and grab onto their target (with Clinging and their claws) in a hard to reach location and then repeatedly strike with their stinger. They've also been known to drop off the ceiling onto intruders, depending on their instructions.
The main goal in their design was to cause intruders to panic and make noise, hopefully bringing someone to take care of them. They're usually made quite cheaply, with poor (or no) articulation (golem magic takes care of movement) and blocky forms. They're always painted black, however, to help them blend into the dark.
When not being used, they curl up into a compact, blocky package, with one arm on top of the other, the legs folded under the body and the stinger laid flat across the back. They can easily be slipped into a pocket or a pack in this form.
