This spell takes the target to the brink of death and then stops just short of killing them.

The target makes death rolls as usual. If they fail a roll, then the spell injures them enough to take them within one damage of that point. If the victim makes all their death rolls, then the spell takes them to one point away from death by massive damage, at least up to 240 damage.
