Gozeb is not a goblin, but his tribe doesn't understand this.
He's actually an abnormally large Groll, a half-breed combination of goblin and troll, giving him both regenerative abilities and a high level of durability.
His personal guard are Grolls, as well.
They recently took over a tribe of goblins. They were accepted into the tribe by slowly picking off their warriors while out scouting. There were no witnesses, so when he and his friends offered to join the tribe, the chieftan readily accepted, due to his sudden shortage of warriors and threats from nearby orcs.
Gozeb soon challenged one of the chieftan's guards and then shortly after, challenged the chieftain himself, taking control of the tribe and appointing his friends as his personal guard.
He's made an excellent leader, so far, due to a lack of paranoia so common in goblins and his high intelligence. He can be reasoned with, but few have ever tried.
He also understand goblin psychology quite well, using their paranoid nature against them to manipulate them however he sees fit.
In combat, Gozeb tends to fight until he reaches -1xHP and then pretends to fall, mortally wounded. Then, when his opponents underestimate him, he strikes from behind.
